Family Fun Run/Walk and 5K
In addition to pursuing community grants from various governmental bodies and corporations to support our programs, the REACH Foundation raises money annually through our Family Fun/Run/5K event. This year's Family Fun Run/Walk/5K event will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. All families are invited to participate. There will be refreshments, raffles, t-shirts and lots of family fun! The Fun Run will include our 1 mile family fun walk plus an official timed 5k run for more experienced runners! New this year is our inaugural Jami Erlich "Sunshine" Memorial 1 mile run for students K-5. We will have more advertising and teacher support to help expand participation and help create a stronger community event. As we did last year, there will be a host of fun family activities and refreshments! The REACH foundation is a 501(c)3 volunteer, not-for-profit organization, that is dedicated to supporting programs that benefit the community and the Ramapo Central school district. Our next annual Fun Run will help us fund new classroom teacher grants at all levels. Each participant in the Fun Run 2010 will pay a registration fee of either $5 (students), $10 (adult walker), or $20 (adult runner). All registrants will receive a goodie bag with coupons, giveaways and a t-shirt with the names and/or logos of our sponsors.
